Hero Brain Health delivers advanced, EEG-guided TMS therapy for veterans, first responders, and their families facing PTSD, depression, TBI, and related challenges.
At Hero Brain Health, our mission is to bring life-changing brain health treatment to those who have dedicated their lives to serving others. Founded in Boston by a team of veterans, clinicians, and neuroscientists, we saw the urgent need for better solutions for PTSD, depression, and TBI among military veterans, first responders, and their families. Traditional treatments alone are often not enough – so we set out to offer something new: an evidence-based, neurologically-guided therapy that can restore hope and functionality even in hard-to-treat cases. We strive to deliver this care with both clinical professionalism and compassionate understanding, creating a safe space for healing the invisible wounds of trauma.
Our program is open to veterans, active-duty military, police, firefighters, EMTs, and other first responders dealing with conditions such as PTSD, combat trauma, cumulative stress, depression, anxiety, sleep disturbances, concussion and brain injury aftereffects, and substance use disorders. If you’ve experienced nightmares and flashbacks, constant hypervigilance, mood swings, or struggle with memory and sleep, we are here to help. Hero Brain Health honors the unique experiences of our patients – many of our staff have service backgrounds or specialized training in trauma, so you’ll be met with cultural competency and respect from day one. We know asking for help isn’t easy; our goal is to make that step easier by offering a proven medical treatment delivered in a warm, supportive environment.
Our program uses personalized brain-based protocols developed in partnership with Wave Neuroscience, a leader in neuromodulation technology. This means your treatment is guided by your own EEG data – tailored exactly to your needs rather than a one-size-fits-all approach. The result is a therapy that has been designated an FDA Breakthrough Technology for its effectiveness and shown in studies to reduce PTSD symptoms by as much as 60–70%, far outpacing standard care. Equally important, we foster a supportive environment staffed by clinicians who are experts in both mental health and military/first responder culture. You will be treated with respect, understanding, and the utmost professionalism every step of the way.
Hero Brain Health is not just a clinic – it’s a community. We host peer support gatherings and family education sessions so that you and your loved ones can connect with others who understand your journey. We actively engage with veteran and first responder organizations in the Boston area to extend our support network. Additionally, we are committed to transparency and accountability. We carefully track treatment outcomes and progress for each patient (with your permission) and contribute data to larger studies to advance the science. Our program’s effectiveness has been shared with policymakers and healthcare leaders to encourage broader support for brain-based therapies. Hero Brain Health aims not only to help individuals but also to lead a nationwide effort to improve mental health care for our heroes. Every success story here helps build the case for making this treatment more accessible to all who need it.
In everything we do, we honor your service and sacrifice. Our promise is to serve you with the same dedication with which you served your community and country. If you have any questions about our clinic or approach, please contact us – we’re always here to help.
